A friend of mind posted a link on Facebook. It stated:
“That incredible feeling of peace and calmness that you experience at the beach is now being referred to as “blue space.” That’s what scientists have dubbed the effect that the combination of soothing smells and sounds of water have on your brain. The blue space is enough to make you feel at ease in a hypnotic sort of way.
When you notice how relaxed you feel at the beach, it’s not just all in your head. Science says that it’s a change in the way your brain reacts to its environment leaving you feeling happy, relaxed and reenergized.”
The four things they pointed out; reduce stress, boost creativity, reduces depression, and changes perspective on life were exactly what I’ve experience in the great outdoors of Alaska.
Here was my post on Facebook as I shared my findings, but without the photos.
THIS IS WHAT I’VE LEARN FROM BEING IN ALASKA ~ It’s not only at the beach where we can find healing, it’s also out in the great outdoors, God’s creation.
Being among the trees, mountain peeks. or snow cover ground does wonder to our bodies and souls.
Seeing the small things grow makes one feel important and unique. It reminds one, that small accumulates to greatness where wonderful things grow.
Plus, the air refreshes the skin and when inhaled, the lungs expand causing one’s chest to release what’s kept bottled up.
The ocean is great, but let us not forget the grand gardens God created all over the world for our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual benefits.
They are all great tension releasers, but most important nature cries out the wonders of God to His master piece creation, whom He loves, the human race.
For this reason, Jesus was born, crucified and rose again, for us, His loved ones.
