Don’t Stand Alone

20180320_171033.jpg

ONE DOESN’T NEED TO STAND ALONE, EVEN THOUGH ONE MAY FEEL LONESOME.

Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor’s] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.

James 1:12 AMPC

With a community or friends to share one’s troubles, concerns, or trials, one can ask for prayers. Soon one will see, they don’t stand alone. Other hurting souls have come beside the one for they know how difficult it is to stand strong in the struggle.

True Friendship ~ A Flower Which Can’t Be Bought.

FRIENDSHIP ~ When a friend comes for a visit and the weather permits, I ask if they would like to go for a walk.20180314_155558.jpg

Tracie, my writer friend is an inspiration to me. She juggles writing workbooks for a living, driving to another state to visit her parents, writes fiction for fun, devotionals for inspiration and is part of two writing association, plus a new grandmother. Oh, and she quilts and reads a lot. And, she’s married by the way.20180314_095413.jpg

She must have at least three stoves running with every burner busy. And she does it all so well. She also makes time to exercise twice a day. My hero.

While Traci and I walked we visited and finally I took out my phone and snap a picture. She said, “I was wondering when you will be taking pictures.” She knows me well.20180314_155740.jpg

There were a couple of pictures I took that she asked why I took them. They were of cow bones on the path. Left overs from a coyote I presumed. I told her, when something comes to my attention I take a picture, later God will give me an Idea to write about.20180314_160046.jpg

“Make me to hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; let the bones which You have broken rejoice.” Psalm 51:8

Something from Ezekiel 3 with dry bones will be included in my writing along with the bones I found in Alaska on a Sunday exploration. Those bones, I believe were from a moose. By the way, Tracie, the idea is coming. I have a feeling that another set of bones are on a future path of mine before I do sit and write.

Thank you, my friend, for taking time to spend several hours with me. God lifted my spirit with your visit. May He bless you with more energy.20180314_094545.jpg Keep smiling, Traci it’s contagious.

That’s how He keeps my heart smiling.

Be Present In Other’s Life And Help

20180215_112506.jpg

“Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.” John 24:16

Sometime I feel that, “In, Jesus name I pray,” used in prayer is said as if expecting something magical to happen, instead of waiting for a miracle.

One, must understand when we ask in Jesus name, Jesus is not a magical word, instead it is a powerful word. Then, we must prepare our hearts, for the answer may come far from how it is expected. However or whatever form the answer is sent, joy does come along with peace.

I love the explanation from “My Utmost for His Highest”

“Our Lord does not mean that life will be free from external perplexities, but that just as He knew the Father’s heart and mind, so by the baptism of the Holy Ghost He can lift us into the heavenly places where He can reveal the counsels of God to us.”

We need to be so intimate with our Lord, as to be one with him, then we will not only know the counsel of God but our God’s joy will be made full in us.

This joy doesn’t come externally like our woes, troubles and tribulations. This joy comes from the peace that passes earthly understanding, knowing our Lord will help us pass through our present circumstances.

He does and he will be with us and help us.

Remember in prayer, Jesus name is powerful, but it is not a magic word.

Also keep in mind, that God answers us is many ways today. The most realistic method is through people. The relief may come through a person whom you’ve never met. These folks are today’s Good Samaritan whom are moved by the Holy Spirit to help not only by what they hear and see, but by what moves them to compassion. Luke 10:25-37

Be present in someone’s life and be a good Samaritan.

God bless the Samaritans in our lives.
