WITH OPEN MINDS AND HURTING HEARTS

One can see God’s truth inspite of sickness and death sweeping love ones from our grasp.

“I pray that God will open your minds to see his truth. Then you will know the hope that he has chosen us to have.

You will know that the blessings God has promised his holy people are rich and glorious.

And you will know that God’s power is very great for us who believe.”
(Ephesians 1:18-19 ERV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His power can comfort without human understanding.
His power can heal hearts without human involvement.
His power can strengthen without human encouragement.
Know the hope, God chose for us to have.
Know the blessing, God gives to us freely.
Know the great power, God uses for us as believers.
Even when one is not healed and the Angel of the Lord comes to take love ones from this world, we can know the hope, the promises the power of God are all available for each one of us, his holy people.
Fret Appeared As A Flick
Philippians 3:13-14 “I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” MSG
I received a phone call saying that one of my son’s is not doing well and is thinking of quitting his job for a lesser one.
Let me back up four months past.
My oldest son was involved in an automobile accident. He was rear ended by a van going at 60 mph totaling his car. He, his wife and two young son were in the car at the time. Thankfully, no one else was hurt, only him. After three months of recovery, he returned to work, but he’s not the same.
The neck injury is effecting one of his hand. He’s unable to hold on to things. As his mother, my heart broke again as I heard the news. This son has faced one challenge after another without much of a break. Some of those are of his own doing, but others came as magnets not releasing him until the lasting damages had taken its course, much like this one.
When I’m riding on God’s Eagles, His promises, like the verse in Philippians and receive heart tugging news of one of my children struggling, I want to land the eagle and ask my child to climb aboard.
But, I can’t.
I can only call and point to the Lord’s almighty eagle for them to climb on.
Before fret ignited full-blown worry in my soul, I pointed my son where the Holy Spirit led me. I couldn’t believe my eyes as read, Isaiah 4: 10.
“. . . I’ve picked you. I haven’t dropped you.’
Don’t panic. I’m with you.
    There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.
I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you.
    I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.” msg
My hope is that my son climbed aboard.
Trusting my God gave no room for the flame of worry to crash me to the ground of uncertainty and disbelief. I continued to soar on my eagle. For, I must press on to the goal God has before me.
Without a doubt, I knew the Lord reached down to my son. All my son needed to do was to take His Lord’s hand and climb on His promise.
Holly Spirit minister to my son’s spirit as you have minister to mine. Help him to hear what God wants him to know. Direct his path along the side his Savior. Lord, strengthen his faith and belief in You.
God, please give my husband and I wisdom on how to advice our son, or not to speak, plus being the godly parents he needs at this time. Thank you, for all you are doing and will do for my son and his beautiful family.
May you find encouragement in God’s word and my story.
Don’t Stand Alone
20180320_171033.jpg
ONE DOESN’T NEED TO STAND ALONE, EVEN THOUGH ONE MAY FEEL LONESOME.
Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor’s] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.
James 1:12 AMPC
With a community or friends to share one’s troubles, concerns, or trials, one can ask for prayers. Soon one will see, they don’t stand alone. Other hurting souls have come beside the one for they know how difficult it is to stand strong in the struggle.
My Lord Kept Me Safe and Alive
20180106_003822.jpg
“For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 116: 8-9
Today was a rainy day in Seattle, Washington.
As I drove south in heavy, slow-moving traffic, a Jeep slid perpendicular on the commuter lane at the same speed as my car.
It felt like slow motion. I looked towards my left. The driver’s frantic look revealed his fear as the front end of his car headed straight towards my car.
With a semi-truck to my right and ahead of me, there was no room for an escape. My thought was, oh Lord.
Minutes earlier I had prayed, Lord keep me and my fellow drivers safe.
Within inches the vehicle came to a halt.Traffic sped up. I drove on leaving the chaos behind without a scratch on my car.
Hope was an unseen safety circumference about me.
Later, on my drive home, the clouds parted and the sun came through. At that point, I thank God for allowing me to live and for keeping everyone around me safe.
I’m fortunate to continue to walk with my Lord in the land of the living and I can witness the great beauty of Alaska once again.
Don’t Fret, Call A Friend
When I can’t muster the will to talk to God, I go for a walk or call a friend.
 16779.jpg
My reasons for being unable to go to Jesus myself, doesn’t come from shame or feeling undeserving, but from a different source.
 *
This source, has a much stronger hold than my insecurities and I can’t easily break loose from its grip. It keeps my mind from focusing on what my Heavenly Father can do. Doubt, fear and unbelief lurk around my heart, darkening my understanding.
 *
When times like these come my way, I normally go for a walk and listen, for nature always reminds me of the truth and how it can set me free. Soon, I can pray.
20171228_002543.jpg
But, when the enemy bounds me tight where I can’t get one foot outside, I call my friend or friends. They go to Jesus for me and ask Him to come to my aid. Usually, when this happens, I’ve been compelled to pray for a close family member and not so much for myself.
*
In Luke 7:1-10, A Roman Captain called upon respected Jewish elders and asked them to plea for him to Jesus regarding a sick servant.
*
This story made me wonder what bound the Captain from going to Jesus himself, was it: his position, his Roman duties, his reputation, his ethnicity or his lack of understanding that Jesus would allow anyone to come to him?
*
Now, this story takes a different form in Matthew chapter 8:5-13. Here the centurion spoke to Jesus himself. I’m not going to focus on the inconstancy of the two stories, for that’s not the point. If you like further reading regarding the differences, click here.
*
My focus is, there will be times when one can’t easily call on God for one reason or another. Don’t fret, call a friend, one who walks close to God’s principles and asked them to mention you in their prayers.
*
Bondage is not always easily recognizable, but with the help of the Holy Spirit and godly council one can know what is doing battle against you.
*
Seek godly people who depend on God’s sovereign grace and mercy. Individuals who walk with Jesus and are led by the Holy Spirit. Their fruits should be visible. Do keep in mind, like a real fruit, time reveals the fruit’s true form.
*
When you call a friend, have the faith of a centurion and expect a miracle.
*
May the Father of all, the King of Kind and Lord of lord lead you to the truth which sets captive free and bring physical and spiritual healing to you, your family and those who serve you or you serve. In Jesus name I pray.
*
*
God bless you.
Invincible Power
🔸️INVINCIBLE POWER🔸️
The ocean has the ability to relocates heavy stones with its invincible, raging power.
We too can move stones out-of-the-way with a force which gives belief, perseverance and faith an unseen power.
That force is prayer.
When My Half Empty Glass Shines
Normally, I’m living with the perspective of a halffull glass. It’s like this, in the mornings my glass is halffull with orange juice, by mid day its water, but by night its wine. Typically, I’m a happy, energetic and jolly woman.
20171215_120549.jpg
In my meager moments, when life is darkly miserable and my sight is on the unfilled half of my glass and hope seems to be out of my reach, I run outside and pray.
It’s my way of placing my half empty soul by the fleeting candle light of the sun.20171215_121007.jpg
While I’m out, walking, hiking or just wondering, I talk to God and let him know just the way it is down here in the dungeon of life. In time, my cares flee and my focus is off my troubles and on what is around me.
Nature always sparks with her beauty and soon what is lovely, what is pure, what is true begins to reflect and transcends hope into my half empty life.
God always meets me where I’m at. He never disappoints, for He is always faithful.
