Will You Believe?

Belief

Will You Believe?

To believe, sometimes, one must take a step into an overgrown area of disbelief.

One walks cautiously removing what isn’t true to see facts, learn new truths, forming a path of belief. At times, one must trust on what they’ve been told in order to move forward to continue to believe. Trust to believe removes fear, concerns and falsity.

Let’s read, Hebrews 1:1-4.

Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.

The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.”

There is no consensus on who’s the author of Hebrews. The possibility could be St. Barnabas or Paul. Whoever wrote this book had much knowledge of how God communicated in the Old Testament to those with great faith and belief.

The author knew the Jewish history well enough to understand how the Lord spoke to God’s selected. He must have been well-versed in the Tora and the great stories of old during and after the fall of the Garden of Eden. But knowing wasn’t enough, he believed what he read, the stories and what he heard from God’s Son, Jesus Christ.

Let’s re read and focus on the first two sentences of the passage above.

Belief is the main focus here. Its importance is not only in what we read about God, but the new revelation Jesus spoke to anyone who would listen. Jesus teachings were something this author took to heart. In the further chapters in Hebrews, we will see how he connects Jesus’ teachings to what he knew to be true of God’s dealings with his children.

For now, let’s take a giant step back in time when God spoke to men through the prophets. The author of Hebrews wrote, “many times and in various ways” our Heavenly Father conversed with those mention in the Old Testament. Wait, maybe we shouldn’t take such a big step backwards yet.

Let’s read John 9:28, “Then they cursed him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses! 29 We know God spoke to Moses, but we don’t even know where this man comes from.””

If you need to refresh your memory of the investigation by the Pharisees of this man born blind, whom Jesus healed, read chapter 9 from verse one. It is a cool story. Back to the Pharisee’s statement to the healed individual.

In this verse, the Pharisee confirms of God talking to his Prophets, like Moses, whom they followed. As far as I know from research, God spoke to Moses over two thousand times. Makes me wonder how many more times God spoke to Moses which no one recorded.

If you like to read about God and Moses flip the pages of time and turn to Exodus 3 and linger in the far past for a little. Be aware, as you stay in the yesterdays of the Old Testament, keep your ears tune to hear God’s voice in your todays.

Now, let’s flip a few pages back in the book of John. There’s an important word, which I pointed out earlier that we need to dwell upon in our mind and heart.

The word is belief.

John 5:46-48, “Yet it isn’t I who will accuse you before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, in whom you put your hopes. If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me. But since you don’t believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?”

We, you and me, today must not only believe what we read, but we also must believe what we hear. Yes, we do need to be careful of what we are hearing, for many things said are to tickle our ears and not to set our heart after God. What is written has an importance and its place. But hearing God, the Lord and the Holy Spirit today is of great importance.

There’s an invisible rope with knots of truth that one can grab to climb through Biblical history. It’s there to not only take us to the past, but to help us understand a time we didn’t live in or know anyone who experienced life in that time frame. We depend on the historical writings of the scriptures to teach us what was and happened in the years before and during Jesus days. We accept those facts and teachings as God’s truth.

Much like the Jews, who studied the works of Moses, we study the works of Jesus. They didn’t believe Jesus, even though Moses wrote about him, which made it challenging for the Jews to climb on the rope of understanding in their present day. They didn’t believe in the words Jesus spoke or recognized them as God’s truths. We need to be watchful for ourselves of what we once understood. We shouldn’t allow unbelieve to creep in about the Holy Scriptures. Otherwise, unbelief will keep us from understanding the scripture and not hearing the truth God want us to hear today.

Let’s be watchful or we may find ourselves like the Jews not trusting the rope before us even if there are knots of truth in our grasp. We’ll then hesitate to climb, not only because we don’t know its truth bases, but we don’t believe what we’re hearing or grasping. Disbelief in what we hear today may come from not having God’s newness of the Lord’s experienced in our lives. It could come because we are not following his teachings. It may come because we are set in our ways, not allowing the Holy Spirit to change our heart with the newness of the Lord’s love. Disbelief comes from not hearing God ourselves.

It could be that we haven’t received the sight, the miracle like the blind man. Yet, Jesus calls us to walk by faith and not by sight. Why? Because he knew we base facts, truths by what we see and experience. God’s truths permutate throughout our life as we faithfully keep grasping the rope even though we don’t feel the next knot of truth.

With this thread of thought how can we today hear God, who we can’t see? How did Moses, other prophets, even Jesus hear God whom they didn’t see? First, we must believe in what we’ve read, ask the Holy Spirit to help us understand what we’ve learned. Then listen intently to God’s whisper and in what the Holy Spirit has to reveal to us. One more thing, we must take the step in faith into the crowed space of unknown, uncertainty, and at time unbelief.

When we have been given understanding and know the truth when the Lord comes and reveals something new to us, we will believe. Always quiet ourselves, listening carefully, paying attention to the details of life around us. Like Moses did when he saw the burning bush.

We, for sure, are not Jesus, but we are much like Moses. God can speak two thousand times to us and more. He has been talking. Are we believing what we hear? It’s our unbelief, our hurriedness, our concerns which keep us from hearing God’s soft whisper clearly.

Trusting the words I hear

On a spring day, my husband and I walked through a wooded area in Anchorage, Alaska. It’s an area where black and brown bears’ roam. Anxious and fearful, I talked staying alongside my husband. The possibility of encountering a bear in the woods was possible but not so much probable.

Other people were around. I just couldn’t see them. My husband tried to calm me by telling me that we would be alright. We had the protection of spray and a gun in case we faced danger. Which we didn’t. We only encounter runners, hikers and their dogs.

Because of fear of not knowing and not trusting in what my husband said, I missed out on stopping to pay attention to the birds in the area. There were signs along the path, suggesting stopping for a while and listen. On the sign it told to listen for how birds communicate. I couldn’t stop myself. I missed out on the birds along with the joy of God’s creation. All I wanted was for the trail to end and get back in the car.

When it’s time to go walking or spending time with God, let’s not allow fear of what we don’t understand or anxiety of what we can’t see to stop us from slowing our body down, calming our mind and resting our heart with Jesus. Otherwise, we won’t pay attention to the sound of God’s whisper. He may just be singing along with the birds, trying to get us to draw near to hear his whisper and his loving song.

God speaks today. It may not be through a burning bush, a donkey or a prophet, but his whisper can be heard in church, at home, in the car, or outside as we enjoy God’s creation. Ask the Holy Spirit to quicken your spirit and teach you to hear God’s whispering voice. Then believe.

Remember what the scripture teaches, “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”” Psalm 46:10

Once we are calm and listening, believe what we’ve learned from the patriarchs of the Bible and the Lord Jesus Christ, then we won’t have such a hard time seeing the truth of the Holy Scripture along with hearing the truth God is telling us today. His message today, will not contradict who Jesus was and is.

Christ is as the verses 3 to 4 say. “He is One who—imprinted with God’s image, shimmering with His glory—sustains all that exists through the power of His word. He was seated at the right hand of God once He Himself had made the offering that purified us from all our sins. This Son of God is elevated as far above the heavenly messengers as His holy name is elevated above theirs.”

Next time God whispers something that is new to you, the scriptures will verify it. The Holy Spirit will remind you and the Lord will help you with the newness. It’s to help us see what we’ve been blinded to see on our own. Jesus still purifies us from all our sins, our ill, our weaknesses. Every time our Lord renews us it’s a form of elevation by His Holy name to present us to our Heavenly Father as forgiven and pure.

Let’s learn, listen and trust. Then our understanding will be broaden to grasp what we couldn’t believe before God changed us. Now we move forward today with a testimony of who changed us and belief in, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

In the Old Testimony God spoke through His prophets. In the New Testament God spoke through Jesus, His Son. Today God speaks to us through His Son’s Holy Spirit. He can chose to speak to us through a burning bush, a donkey or one of His present prophets. But, as a loving Father, he desires personal time with us. Listen for his soft whisper, He’s ready to speak truth into your heart, mind and soul.

Will you believe what you hear from God today? Will you trust His Son’s word in spite of your fears, concern, falseness? Will you trust the Holy Spirit teachings? Will you speak of what you know to be true about God, His Son, the Holy Spirit to those who want to hear? It’s a choice.

Come fly With Me

20191005_090644.jpgCOME FLY WITH ME ~ From Seattle to LA

Seeing the world from up high gives only a section of a perspective. Specific details are impossible to see until the destination is within sight and even more when one arrives.

Sometimes life is very much this way. It gives us a broad picture, when all we want is a specific and detail plan.

Many times, we become impatient taking the plan of flight in our own hands. Soon, we find ourselves headed straight down, spinning out of control, before the crash.

Waiting, as hard as it is, possibly causing anxiety, has its different purposes for our own good.

Besides acclimating to the descending pressure, balancing our equilibrium, our reasoning is in need of the proper oxygen for clarity.

Otherwise, our choices become unwise.

In spiritual or even physical matters one may not know the next destination. Despair, fear, denial, depression can easily accompany anxiety causing one to hyperventilate.

Trust, faith and reliance on God, family and friends become a necessity.

It’s as if one holds their heart in their hands passing it carefully to the hands of the one before them and say, ” Help! But, please don’t break it.”

Not easy for me to trust others with my heart, only God. He’s teaching me at this time of my life, vulnerability. Not an easy lesson. It hurts.

Giving Up or Letting Go?

20190428_162249_2.jpg
GIVING UP OR LETTING GO?
Woke up with the phrase, “thoughts can kill you or heal you,” and it wouldn’t leave me alone.
Seeking undestanding, I ask the Lord, “is this a theme for a story or something else?”
As I spent my quiet time, the phrase return and it brought another idea along. Not finding the proper words to put on this feeling, I looked for a photo to help me identify what the Holy Spirit was telling me.
When I saw the leaf, a question formed, “Is the leaf giving up or letting go?”
Knowing how God works and moves me or should I say pushes me to act upon what He sees in me, I knew a reminder was being handed for my mind.
Will I be giving up what has been done in me? Or letting go and accept the change which is in hand?
Many times, I fight thoughts which push me to give up and let the dream die.
It’s a real, true struggle within me!!!
One which produces melancholy even after workouts, walks and being out in nature for hours. Usually God wakes my spirit and soon I get myself moving by doing my duties of laundry and cleaning or paying bills.
My self talk goes something like this, “Lidia, you’re a grown woman, just keep taking steps. How else can you be a witness of what you’ve said you are in Christ?”
Why am telling you this? Because I’m not alone fighting a battle which we’ve been told it’s won. Yet, no relief has come. It diverted and missed us. Well, it feels like it has for what ever reason.
Instead of standing strong against the enemy. I do as he wants, be in the front battle zone fighting for my right to be who God said I am.
For many of us, the war exist in our head more than in our heart.
We struggle with thoughts which are killing us, inside out. Once our will is done with, we have no reason to exist. Meditate on God words, are daily pills, but our thoughts of redemption and healing remain dried up. (Rom. 12:2)
Then the dagger hits home, Hope is for others, not for me.
I shared my reoccurring waking thought with a friend over coffee this morning. I mention that I wasn’t sure if it was for a story. She suggested to write a story about twins, one with the name Ican’t and the other Ican.
After she left, I had my quiet time. It was them when I saw these twins, joined by one heart, in me.
Who will win?
The one who will remain standing strong and walk in the newness of who she has become.
Is it easy? Nope. I will confront that solid steep mountian God told me about.
It will seem unclimbable before me, but with the Lord’s help, I will get to the other side which is labeled, “accomplishement.”
Not sure what you’re struggling and doing battle with today, but be assured you are not alone even though it’s a lonesome road.
Today will you chose with me to dwell and meditate on the Victory which the Lord conquered for us through His resurrection?
Let’s encourage each other today as we stand with the banner of victory on our spear then walk in faith on what has already been done and accomplished in us. (Heb. 3:13)
You maybe on a different road, but we’re facing the same enemy. Let’s keep in mind the enemy is not only finished but CONQUERED! (John 19:30)

A Heavenly Illumination

20181216_153132.jpg

With the sun behind me and covered by snowing clouds, this photo caused me to ponder. where did this light come from? It reassured me of my belief of, I’m never alone.

And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from Heaven. 2 Thessalonians 1:7 NLT

Do you believe in what can’t be seen or explain? Are you expecting miracles today or in 2019? Will your heart belief when Jesus appears from Heaven to bless you with his Light and gift you with a miracle?
20181216_153442.jpg
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?

Low to the earth
and behind me
the unseen sun
traveled its course

Heavy snow clouds
released snowflakes
coating everything
in me with glee

Something pulled my soul
to the trees before me
Peace, joy swirled with my glee
setting me totally free.

At home, happy as I could be
I looked over my photos
In unbelief, I stared at
the illuminated sky.

A light had shined
before my very own eyes
which I had no clue
it had even existed

Pray, Seek, Knock and Find

Troubles? Take Timeouts.

IMG_20180815_231615_207.jpg

Remember, as children when we got in trouble, we were sent to timeout?

As a parent, I would tell my kids to think about what they did wrong. While the child sat, they would have to stay there until they, themselves, identified their error and understood the correct manner of behavior. Which I had already explain to them, but they had to own their choice and decide to make better choices in the future.

20180815_113406.jpg

Without knowing why, today, my soul was troubled, I had the urge to go for a drive and have a timeout. Expecting to learn the error of my ways I desired to find a place out in nature to listen to what God had taught me and seem to be trying to remind me. Eagle River, Alaska came to mind. Being a place where bears are cited, I invited a friend and off we went. (We didn’t see any bears, which we were thankful after learning that this was the time for brown bears and grizzlies to be passing through to feed from the salmon runs.)

20180815_124050.jpg
My friend holding a mold of a grissly bear’s paw. Yikes!

Before leaving my place, I took time to read my devotional. As soon as I read the verses, I had the urge to leave, now. Without reading any further, I left with three questions packed in my heart. What should I be asking? What should I be seeking? And where should I be knocking? Eagerly I drove, expecting to hear definite answers from God at some point on the hike but, none came.

20180815_113624.jpg

For those of you who know the passage, the verses were from Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” They’re familiar verses in the Christian community, but for me this time they had something new to teach me. I just didn’t know exactly what that lesson was, because I hadn’t identify where I stood with God.

20180815_115942.jpg

Seating and pondering on my day in Eagle River, which I didn’t receive answers or clarity of these verses or my errored ways, I read the rest of the devotional. It reminded me to be persistent in asking and that Jesus doesn’t recommend for us to ask, He commands for us to ask. Now that’s something to think about for my future timeout from my day.

20180815_120850.jpg

The devotional also said, that asking isn’t quite sufficient from Jesus’ point of view. He wants us to take it up a notch. We should seek out what we need from God and we will find it. Well asking is much less work than seeking, because one doesn’t have to do anything. While seeking takes our effort not just God’s. There are times, I just want the answer without much work on my part.

20180815_122504.jpg

Do you remember asking your mom for something you know she could easily give you, but she sent you out to find it yourself and then get it on your own? Well I’m wondering if that’s what God was trying to tell me, when I rather for Him to just hand it to me. I still wonder, what is it that I truly want? I sense I must go on to the third question maybe I will receive clarity.

20180815_122844.jpg

Knocking on the door is the final step. Well the devotional reference that the door is heaven’s door. It also mention that our asking and seeking takes us to the very doorsteps of heaven. Once there, we shouldn’t just stand there and wait, we should knock on the door. Well to tell you the truth, I’ve been afraid to knock on the door. Why? Because of what God has to offer.

20180815_123006.jpg

What if God gives me my heart desire only to be taken away. Maybe, I don’t want to feel that pain again, so I will not knock, then I keep what I long for in the longing place of my heart. No wonder I felt like a timeout. I needed to see the error of my thinking and correct it with truth. It is better to have had it for a short while than not to have it at all. Besides, who told me that it will be taken again and why bother having it in the first place? Who have I been listening to? Whom have I followed? I’ve listen to the voices of Doubt, Disappointment and Fear.

20180815_120101.jpg

They misguided me because of the troubles that have come and taken the good things my husband and I have been blessed with in Vancouver. We placed our house on the market and sold within twelve hours. We had to leave quickly that we didn’t have time to say good-bye to our friends. The move-out happened in less than two weeks from our return of our working travels. Our belongings were stuffed in storage and off we flew to Alaska to work again.

20180815_120932.jpg

Now, we are homeless and have no idea where to plant our life and allow roots to grow. You see, I have lived in almost twenty places in thirty-five years of marriage which includes less than ten city moves and seven states covering from Texas to Maryland to Montana to Washington and now Alaska.

20180815_120201.jpg

Do you see why I’m shy to knock and ask where should I be seeking residency? At the moment, we’re staying in an Airbnb in Alaska provided by my husband’s work. When he’s not working we’ll be staying with my daughter in Seattle, Washington.

I know once I knock on the door of heaven, it will be open. God will meet me and He will provide the answer. But, will it be the answer I seek? Or will He offer me the answer which is best to produce the fruits that are needed? I also know, that God will hand my husband and I not only what we need but gift us with more, with the purpose of sharing. All things do come from his storehouse and he will place the gifts into our hands for us and for us to share.

20180815_120514.jpg

I understand. It’s not about finding residency, a house to call home or having a dwelling place. It’s about asking and seeking where does God want us, my husband and I to bear fruit. Like the devotional said, all of our persistent asking, seeking and knocking shows God that we are serious and sincere about our desire to bear fruits like John teaches.

John 15:16  “You have not chosen Me, I have chosen you. I have set you apart for the work of bringing in fruit. Your fruit should last. And whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you.”

20180815_111531.jpg

Am I ready to ask, seek and knock? I am. I’ve recognize the error of my ways, listening and believing the voices of Doubt, Disappointment and Fear instead of the voice of my Shepard, Jesus himself. I should trust Him with our future, my husbands and mine as a couple and mine as an individual.

20180815_111349.jpg

Father, In Jesus name I come and ask to show me the way my husband and I should go and where to plant our lives to bear fruit, so that you can feed those who hunger after your precepts and desire to draw closer to you plus, to learn about your Son, the one who saves, died and rose again, Jesus, who conquered our sins, who forgives without our cost. for He paid it all. Thank you for choosing me. In Jesus name I ask, seek and knock. And in His name I wait to find a home to share of what God has in store for my husband and me.

When God Wakes Me

When I wake up at 3:00 in the morning for no reason and can’t go back to sleep, I do three things:

20180424_050236.jpg

I wonder, what does God have to say to me, then I wait.

I journal my thoughts after I read some scripture, blogs and devotionals.

I pray for those who are on my mind.

Then I usually go back to sleep.

But there are times, when I’ve spent time with God and I’m so energized that I will not sleep until the sun has traveled across the sky. At other times I just pray and go back to dreaming.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard from God. Maybe, it’s because I haven’t stayed awake. I wonder what will be this time at 3:30 a.m.

Heavenly Father, do you have something I need to hear from you at this time? If so, will you allow your Holy Spirit to speak to me the message you want me to hear. Will you lead me to a verse that may go with what you want me to understand? Thank you. I’m listening.

The wind is strong outside, I can hear it move the giant evergreen branches outside the bathroom window. It looks cold with the blanket of stormy clouds outside. Yet, something tells me it’s not cold at all. I shouldn’t allow how things look to deceive me. I should experience it for myself.

Just like the wind outside, it is also true about God. One should listen and observe what others teach about God, but it is of most important for one’s soul if they experience God themselves. I must step outside to find out how cold it really is or I may be deceived. You too, my friend, step outside of your knowing and experience God for what He really is.

I can tell you of his amazing love and abundant help, plus his stern correction for those he cares about. But, if you don’t step out and experience His Wind, you will not have a full understanding of His love for you. It will be like the wind that makes noises and you may see some sort of effect, but to know to really know, it has to be a personal decision to not only hear God’s Spirit but to sense Him with your spirit. It is then when you are fully alive.

God speaks like the wind. Can you hear Him? Can you feel His presence? Can you experience His Holy Spirit? If so, do you understand His word? If yes, ask Him to travel along with you, but never ever leave Him behind.

“Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.” 1 Peter 1:18-19 MSG

What will happen if you do leave him behind and out of your life?

You may build for yourself greatness. You could become something beyond what others have become, reaching heights no one else has reached, making yourself famous. The reasoning will sound good. Good enough for man, yet you will not know the purpose of those who built with you or even your own heart. For, it has taken you far away from what is good for you and the relationship with God.

“God Turned Their Language into ‘Babble’ Genesis 11:1-9  MSG

1-2 At one time, the whole Earth spoke the same language. It so happened that as they moved out of the east, they came upon a plain in the land of Shinar and settled down.

They said to one another, “Come, let’s make bricks and fire them well.” They used brick for stone and tar for mortar.

Then they said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city and a tower that reaches Heaven. Let’s make ourselves famous so we won’t be scattered here and there across the Earth.”

God came down to look over the city and the tower those people had built.

6-9 God took one look and said, “One people, one language; why, this is only a first step. No telling what they’ll come up with next—they’ll stop at nothing! Come, we’ll go down and garble their speech so they won’t understand each other.” Then God scattered them from there all over the world. And they had to quit building the city. That’s how it came to be called Babel, because there God turned their language into “babble.” From there God scattered them all over the world.”

Go search the scripture, no where you will find recorded that God said, this scattering of his people and the multi languages were good, like He did in the beginning of time.

20180319_105400.jpgWhat we build is not necessarily bad, The purpose of why we build is the root or the foundation of good or bad of our creation. If the purpose isn’t God centered, instead its self-centered, then God can’t give it His blessing.

Confusion and detachment will occur from those who we love and care about and from the things which matter in our lives.

Let’s pay attention to which wind, we are listening to and get blown by.

All this to say, when the wind blows and the tree limbs dance vigorously, take time to quiet your soul, go and talk to God and listen to the Holy Spirit guidance. He will teach you how to live and have an abundant life on earth as it is in heaven. As long as God is with you in your journey peace will follow you.

Don’t leave Him out of your life.

Yeah, this is what usually happens, when God wakes me and I don’t go back to sleep. Well, it’s 4:30 in the morning and I can still get some shut-eye before the alarm wakes me up.

I pray these word were a reminder of God’s desire to spend time with you and a blessing. May God be with us throughout or waking time. Let’s build with Him as we go about our duties and arts. God bless you.

Fret Appeared As A Flick

Philippians 3:13-14 “I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” MSG

20180331_222201.jpg

I received a phone call saying that one of my son’s is not doing well and is thinking of quitting his job for a lesser one.

Let me back up four months past.

My oldest son was involved in an automobile accident. He was rear ended by a van going at 60 mph totaling his car. He, his wife and two young son were in the car at the time. Thankfully, no one else was hurt, only him. After three months of recovery, he returned to work, but he’s not the same.

The neck injury is effecting one of his hand. He’s unable to hold on to things. As his mother, my heart broke again as I heard the news. This son has faced one challenge after another without much of a break. Some of those are of his own doing, but others came as magnets not releasing him until the lasting damages had taken its course, much like this one.

When I’m riding on God’s Eagles, His promises, like the verse in Philippians and receive heart tugging news of one of my children struggling, I want to land the eagle and ask my child to climb aboard.

But, I can’t.

I can only call and point to the Lord’s almighty eagle for them to climb on.

Before fret ignited full-blown worry in my soul, I pointed my son where the Holy Spirit led me. I couldn’t believe my eyes as read, Isaiah 4: 10.

“. . . I’ve picked you. I haven’t dropped you.’
Don’t panic. I’m with you.
    There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.
I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you.
    I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.” msg

My hope is that my son climbed aboard.

Trusting my God gave no room for the flame of worry to crash me to the ground of uncertainty and disbelief. I continued to soar on my eagle. For, I must press on to the goal God has before me.

Without a doubt, I knew the Lord reached down to my son. All my son needed to do was to take His Lord’s hand and climb on His promise.

Holly Spirit minister to my son’s spirit as you have minister to mine. Help him to hear what God wants him to know. Direct his path along the side his Savior. Lord, strengthen his faith and belief in You.

God, please give my husband and I wisdom on how to advice our son, or not to speak, plus being the godly parents he needs at this time. Thank you, for all you are doing and will do for my son and his beautiful family.

May you find encouragement in God’s word and my story.

Pondering This Easter

20180401_110544.jpg

Some services celebrate Easter at sunrise. Yet, I would like a sunset celebration.
Looking through my sunset photos made me think about aa end of the day praise service. I will like to praise Him for all He has done in my life, especially this past year. He has brought my family, my husband and me through many challenges.

Being a sunset lover, I wonder what were Jesus thoughts at the end of the day after he defeated and conquered death.

Now that I ponder on that thought, I don’t think he thought of it all, for he succeeded taking the cup. He is not like us, that after we succeed, we return to our prior feelings and thoughts keeping us from receiving the blessing of the accomplishment.

There is no proof that I know about, but I speculate he was busy popping in and out from places. He did visited many people, not only his disciples to encourage them. Especially those who knew him, walked with him and had a predestined call to carry his message of salvation to the ends of the earth.

I’ve heard of a stranger, who appear to the Indians in Central America. One that didn’t look like them, taught them things they’ve never heard before, about himself and God. He left them with instructions on how to live with one another. Again, I have no proof, but I heard it from someone when I was in my teens.

If the sky is clear where you are, I pray you take time to watch the sunset and spend time talking to the Lord. Hear what he has to tell you. Even if the sky isn’t clear, I pray He appears to you in the room, place or wherever you maybe and tell you something you need to hear and be encouraged.

God bless you this Easter as we continue to worship our Risen Lord through out our days!

From The Last Supper To Good Friday

20180228_170739.jpg

On a Thursday, Jesus and his disciples were having dinner or what we call the Last Supper. Not necessarily a Mexican meal, but some traditional dishes of their culture.

Anyway, at some point Jesus begun to speak and the shatter slowly diminished. By the time everyone’s eyes were on Jesus or on their plate before them, their ears tuned-in to Jesus’s voice. The words they heard were probably much like a parable to them.

The verses below, the words Jesus spoke, have been, are and will be deciphered and studied for ages to come. Each time, many will get encouraged, receive clarity and be rescued from the deceiver’s hands into Jesus’ arms.

18 “I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill this passage of Scripture: ‘He who shared my bread has turned[a] against me.’[b]

19 “I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am who I am. 20 Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.”

21 After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, “Very truly I tell you, one of you is going to betray me.”

22 His disciples stared at one another, at a loss to know which of them he meant.23 One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him.24 Simon Peter motioned to this disciple and said, “Ask him which one he means.”

25 Leaning back against Jesus, he asked him, “Lord, who is it?”

26 Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas,the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him.

So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.” 28 But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him. 29 Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the festival, or to give something to the poor. 30 As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night.” John 13:18-30 NIV

Since I believe Jesus is the son of God, I try my hardest to follow his ways and to study his word. This passage tugs my heart to a stop, each time I read it. Intently, I listen to the Holy Spirit, to hear what he’s trying to help me understand, learn and see.

Today, God’s Holy Spirit helped my imagine. It was as if a portal opened and I stepped back in time for a story came alive in my mind. There I stood, in the room with the twelve disciples, Jesus and other servants ready to serve.

~~~~~~~~
Being the servant who poured the wine when Jesus comes, I step in the room and begin to fill the cups. This evening wasn’t out of the ordinary, but somehow we knew there was something special about tonight’s gathering.
As always, when Jesus begins to speak, we who serve hurry to finish our task and move out of sight.
All the servers were done and had taken their place. I still needed to pour the wine in Jesus cup. Since he had motion to fill the twelve cups first, I was left in an awkward place, I couldn’t walk away like I’ve done before. To not disturb his speaking, I walk behind him, which I’ve never done. until this evening.
About to pour the wine in Jesus cup, when I hear his words, “My Spirit is troubled.” Paralyzed, I remain knelt beside him and my hands trembled.
Jesus said, “. . . someone is going to betray me.”
My body weakened and Christ held me up, took my hands and helped me pour the wine in his cup.
In those eternal seconds, my soul was baptized in love and I began to cry. In spirit, I hear him tell me as he continued to speak. “Child of mine, it will all be fine. Be strong, console souls, hold them steady, like I’ve done to you.”
I scooted back and took my place. Tears trickled down my nose, as the word, “betray” rang loudly in my mind.
Then suddenly Judas ran out of the room. A silent heavy sorrow filled the atmosphere making it difficult for me to breathe. Not sure what else Jesus said for my spiritual lantern had been blown out. The only words, I kept from that night were, “Lift others. They’ll be shaken. Console their souls with His love.”
~~~~~~~~~~

In my present day, March 31st of 2018, I begin to think of the events between the betrayal Thursday and what we call Good Friday.

We, Christ followers, remember these events as if they all happened from Thursday, to Friday, to Sunday. But if we take time to refresh our minds and our hearts, we’ll recall from the betrayal night to the resurrection morning, difficult and trial-some days occurred.

Agony built for Christ and his followers. There wasn’t anything Good about Friday, not to them. For the servant girl who filled Jesus cup, will not be serving him wine any more. She lost the one who loved her soul. It would take time for her to understand his prophetic words. Even us today, still struggle to unfold all of what Jesus taught and meant.

Like his faithful followers who wrote the scriptures and the many others who kept Jesus’ love flowing, I too have been called to console souls with the love my soul has been baptized.

Jesus rose, was seen and spoke again. He speaks to us today through his word and his Holy Spirit. He wants for us to know not only about his love, but his forgiveness and his healing grace.

Today, he lifts me, steadies me, and walks with me. Without Christ, I would be hopelessly lost, unloved, and tattered. Not sure where, but somewhere, my face would be planted to the ground, too weak from a malnourished spirit, too crippled from a broken heart and too poor for my soul to live on. BUT!

Because of my Lord and savior’s love, I’m healed, forgiven and living to console souls. His love flows through my spirit, energizes my soul and gives me a purpose to live one day at a time. Thank you, Jesus, for your continual love for me and the world. I love you, my Savior.

Where Do You Fall When all Fails?

WHEN ALL FAILS, I FAINT INTO HIS LOVING ARMS

When my head and heart are between blinding clouds; and my present day and future are beyond my understanding, I faint in the arms of the one who sustain me, my Lord Jesus Christ.

My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Ps. 62:7

His promises fruition in my heart and are sent to my mind and joy does greet me in the morning.
Mornings aren’t always when the sun rises. They are the times when I totally relax in my Lord’s arms, trusting Him with all my needs, as I believe in God, who guards my soul, my spirit and my heart.
