Look and Wait for Truth

IMG_20190708_195834_692.jpg

LOOK AND WAIT FOR TRUTH ~ Before taking any steps of action based on present feelings, God can lead and teach one to find peace, joy and hope in the uncertanty of tomorrow.

Psalm 25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

It isn’t easy waiting on a result one can’t control. And honestly, many time it isn’t easy waiting on the Lord to work things out for us, my husband, me, my kids, family or dear friends.

But, every time, the answer, solution or remedy comes. Not always what I expected, but always something that was the best under the circumstances for the individual or individuals involved.

Only in time I’ve seen the many benefits on allowing God to lead me and teach me in my waiting periods which have been many even till today.

He has always come through. Many times God shows up through friends. Or an unexpected invitation to go explore, fish and fellowship with others.

God is teaching me the importance of staying involved with caring and loving people in my life. He’s leading and teaching me into building lasting relationships with deep roots and with plenty of room for growth.

Without dear friends, like Lori, I would not only have a void and sleep days away, but struggle to remain strong in my storms.

Grateful to know Lori and her husband, Jeff. They are a blessing in my husband and my life.

A Sunrise Relationship Connection

20181203_102534.jpg“Grandpa at what time will we see the sun?”

“Well Grandson, it depends where we are standing.”

The grandson blew into his cupped hands, then asked, “What do you mean?”

“You see, if you stand far from the mountains, like we are now, we’ll see the sun sooner. But, if we were at the base of those mountains, we won’t see the sun until it cleared their peaks.”

“But Grandpa, Nana said that the sun rises at the same time.”

Grandpa patted his grandson on the head, chuckled and then responded, “Nana is right. The sun rises at a specific time every day. But if a mountain is right before us, it will block the sun from our sight.”

“Oh, I see.” The grandson cuddled in his own coat as the Alaska’s cold, morning air touched his skin. He then releases a deep sigh.

20181203_102707.jpg

“What thoughts are you wrestling with, grandson?”

“I was wondering, if the reason why my parents can’t see God like we do, is because of where they are standing.”

His grandpa wraps his arm around the Grandson’s shoulders, “You are wise for an eight-year-old.”

“Grandpa, you’re the wise one, for you bring me out here where God teaches man about him and ourselves.”

“How did you arrive to this conclusion?”

“By watching and listening to you.”

“Hmmm.” Grandpa remain quiet for a while before releasing a deep breath.

20181203_102830.jpg

The grandsons watched the cloud of breath float up and reshaped itself until it vanished from sight.

“Grandpa, did you just tell God a prayer?”

“I did.”

“What did you pray for?”

“That you and I will have many more mornings to witness the sunrise. And, for you to keep reminding me of the important things one must do. I also asked the Lord to help me stand where I will always see God so that He can shine through me.”

“I will ask the same things.” The Grandson released three puffs of breath and watched them transformed shapes as they floated to the heavenly sky. “Grandpa, the sun!”

Grandpa moved away from the rail, took the keys of the truck out of his pocket and told his Grandson, “the sun rays have spread making this Grandpa and Grandson connection time, extra special. Now let’s go to the mountains and explore.”20181203_103207.jpg

A Heavenly Illumination

20181216_153132.jpg

With the sun behind me and covered by snowing clouds, this photo caused me to ponder. where did this light come from? It reassured me of my belief of, I’m never alone.

And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from Heaven. 2 Thessalonians 1:7 NLT

Do you believe in what can’t be seen or explain? Are you expecting miracles today or in 2019? Will your heart belief when Jesus appears from Heaven to bless you with his Light and gift you with a miracle?
20181216_153442.jpg
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?

Low to the earth
and behind me
the unseen sun
traveled its course

Heavy snow clouds
released snowflakes
coating everything
in me with glee

Something pulled my soul
to the trees before me
Peace, joy swirled with my glee
setting me totally free.

At home, happy as I could be
I looked over my photos
In unbelief, I stared at
the illuminated sky.

A light had shined
before my very own eyes
which I had no clue
it had even existed

Photography Captures Messages

20181021_1717591The wind quickened and the stormed continued to develop. Me?

20181021_1720411I happily drove south with my husband in the car. It was an opportunity which I couldn’t miss.

20181021_1720551No rainstorm was going to bound me indoors, keeping away from nature.

20181021_1721451The drive didn’t start out with rain. But once south of Turnagain Arm, Seward highway, heavy clouds moved low on the road onto the water and out to sea.

20181021_174528Wet terrain darkened the fall colors causing me to desire a hot drink. After coffee and a treat, I drove us back home to Anchorage.

20181021_174835With the rain pouring down and on coming cars lifting rainwater to my windshield, the view hid from my sight.

20181021_174543 Therefore, I had to stop now and then.

20181021_174637Once out the car, I not only enjoyed the beautiful scenic view, but the weather bath me as I engulfed myself with its refreshing wind and cold rain, allowing it to run down my face and wet hair on to my raincoat.

20181021_174813Then, I remembered a photographed of a leafless bush.

20181021_174714

I ponder about deleting it as I drove.

Once home, I reviewed the photos and something told me to keep the photo of the lonely bush.

It wasn’t until a week later, that I understand why it caught my attention.

A message waited there, captured in the photo just for me only to be released at an appointed time.

My heart not only had to understand the message, but comprehend its importance in my life.

I posted the messages on the actual photo on Instagram, Facebook and here, on WordPress, as a journal to remind me where I’ve been and what life’s circumstance I’ve overcome.

Nature speaks to my soul.

In time, I’m able to write what I’ve seen, felt or heard. Many time I don’t under stand why I felt compelled to take a picture. But I’ve learned, to rust the nudge and the reason will gurgle up from my own life experience.

I hope you enjoy this short outdoors exploration. I sure did.

Blessings, Lidia.😊

Why? I Don’t Know

I’m not sure why tree trunks have captivated me recently.

Maybe, because of their glistening colors at sunset.

IMG_20180327_144721_736.jpg

Or maybe, they impress me on how they endured the harsh winter weather.

What they needed to lose, their outer skin, and weak branches, were for them to be able to expand and grow.

IMG_20180327_144721_732.jpg
Besides the fallen branches were not strong enough to endure the snow, ice and winds.

Hum . . . maybe that’s why I experience losses this past season of life.

I need to let go and grow.

IMG_20180327_144721_734.jpg

Well, I’m ready to expand my horizon and shine with a smile when the sunsets come.

With God’s help, I will carry on.

Where I Feel Total Freedom

Alaska, I’ve fallen in love with your splendor and the souls who call you home.

And to think, I’ve never wanted to set foot on your land.

Oh, how naive I was about you.

Only God knew, you and those who i met would be good for me.

20180321_011850.jpg

The first time my eyes set sight on Alaska’s mountains my soul grew wings and an invisible part of me reveal herself to me as she became free.

While I’m out among Alaska’s nature, I exist, I truly exist. It’s as if I’ve been submerged in water most of my life, holding my breath and only allowed to surface one or twice a month. But here, I can breathe normal all the time. Like, I belong here. No longer do I come out to take a quick breath and go back inside of myself. I can stay out and live like I was created to live.

Now, every time I fly into Anchorage, I feel as if I’m coming home. Yet, I’ve never lived anywhere in the state of Alaska.

My heart, my soul and my mind are in perfect harmony when I’m here. If only, I could stay, I would finally not only see the whole me, but be totally free.

Every time the plane descends for a landing, I get trigger happy and the collection of photos begin. Then I become exuberant, for I know what awaits me once I’m out of the plane and in nature, FREEDOM!!!

The Magic of New Day

IMG_20180319_115335_030.jpg

THE MAGIC OF A NEW DAY
°
Days ago, troubles lingered on my mind like stormy dark clouds.

Slowly I drew the curtains opened not wanting morning to come.

Not knowing the view had more than a scene to reveal to me.

Morning sun rose like a golden ocean of possibilities behind leafless trees of brokenness.

Heavy, purple winter clouds hung above the sea of goodness keeping life from reaching me

Angelic cloud spread across the stormy clouds allowing the blue sky to fill my heart with heavenly hope.

God’s promises are new every morning and ours should be too.
