A Wild Call

Alone
Crippling
Thoughts
Weakens
My will
with fear

Otherwise
I’d be gone
Answering
The Wild call
That my heart
Loudly hears

One step
One jump
One climb
One day
I’ll arrive
But, not alone

Be A Winter Flowing River

๐Ÿ”น๏ธBE LIKE A WINTER FLOWING RIVER๐Ÿ”น๏ธ
ยฐ
As long as water is able to move or come from a hot spring in harsh winter, it will not freeze solid and will serve its purpose for the elements and the wild life.

When I’m set with only my options and there’s no carrying warmth in my heart for change, my thinking becomes frozen.

I will then be a person, who no one will want to come and spend time with me.

As long as I keep my thoughts like a river, trickling during harsh, cold relationships, I’m more incline to be patient, kind and compassionate even when I don’t see eye to eye on the subject.

Respecting the differences of others helps me move on with peace

Is it easy? No, not really. But I care and love the individual too much to freeze over and keep them out of my life and heart.

Love leaves a part in my heart open for heavenly reflection on how to treat others.

For, I too want to be treated respectfully when others don’t see or agree with my thoughts or ways.

Life is harsh, but I don’t have to allow living this life to make me harsh. I do have a choice. With God’s grace and mercy my river of love keeps flowing.

Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge ~ Beauty On The Ordinary

When snow cuddle and stay on limbs and leaves, it accents and contrast shapes and colors sending an overwhelming feeling of wonder over me,

The definition created by the snow on the tree below enchanted me like a painting in a museum. It’s beauty held me hostage in the freezing cold for a while as I study the detail of its fan out branches. Finally I took photos and when on my walk.

Snakes of snow rested against the limbs highlighting the path each limb took making me chose which branch my eyes were going to follow.

Tiny, tiny dots against the white snowy sky, pulled my soul high, that I felt myself leave the grown. Suddenly, a heavenly scent of cleanliness came over me asย  snow gently landed over me.

Like cradles, leafs and twigs collected clusters of snowflakes. They twinkle as they were held. As if the leaves or the twigs were too afraid for the snow to fall, they seemed frozen in their position.

Branches spread in many different paths towards the sky caused me to fluster with confusion on which path to follow. But, when I looked down towards the tree’s trunk I remembered, they all aimed like their trunk, up. I felt peace and assurance that there is truly only one way to reach the heavens above.

Trees and leaves represents many aspects of living life, but they also serve to remind us of a life in a much a waited paradise, heaven on earth.

Blissful

In spite of
Rising fog
Cloudy sky
Tiny Snowflakes
The Mountain range
Peeked across the sky
While the half-moonย
Shined like a Morning star

A Working Man ~ My Husband

He keeps going
In spite of the pain
or the bitter cold
For he has a
Loving obligation
Feed and shelter
Those he adores

Here is a great blog to read, “There areย Good Guys Out There,” by Cage Dunn. Her blog propelled me to post this poem I wrote about my husband. I first posted the poem to go with the picture on Instagram. Hope you stop by Cage’s blog.

Far Yet Close

The mountains scale down the size of the cabins and pin point our next stop.

My first snow excursion in Alaska. A taste of winter delight. If only I had brought some wine, it would have been the cherry on a perfect day.

BE A SPARK OF LIGHT

Be light today and make someone shine.

No words, just a smile from the heart.

Give a tender touch of kindness.

And one lasting loving look.

Gently the snow cuddles among dry leaves on a lifeless branch and rests.

Snow tucks within a dried-up stock. It bends, but doesn’t break.

Like a bride’s veil, snow glows on top of uniquely crafted dry plant.
